Currently Erioquest is run by me, Tetsuya and my wife, Makiko Hamada. We live in Shikoku Island of Japan. We grow plants at a small greenhouse and she mainly manages accounting.
I have grown plants as a hobby. Some kinds of our plants increase steadily so we begin to think if we could offer them for other plant lovers. Our nursery is still very small yet, we expect we can make it bigger along with the growth of our business.
Now I am concentrated on Eriospermums, Bulbines and Ornithogalums. We are growing such plants and bulbous plants of some other genera as well. Haworthias are another my favorite. Some of them will appear on Plants pages of this website and some will be offered on Shop pages.
Makiko is a commercial photographer and now she manages accounting of our business, too. You can call her Maki. She had worked in Tokyo as a photographer for several years. She takes photographs of goods and portraits in genuine, professional way.
Her main equipment is large-format cameras. She usually takes photos with them yet,
recently she makes use of a middle-format camera and digital SLR cameras, too. We offer photography only in Japan.
She is running a epoch-making project for photographs and picture books. The project is named Makiand. You can browse a tip of her achievement at our catalog pages.
